Jan 20 Ruth Eckerd Hall: Elvis-The Concert
After two critically acclaimed world tour outings, include three sold-out perofmances at Radio City Music Hall in New York and a sold-out show at London's Wembley Stadium, this production continues to wow fans and critics alike. Created to be an authentic as possible Elvis Presley concert, the show includes Elvis' original bandmatess, backup singers and jumbo-screen live footage. Jan 21 Florida Gulf Beaches Marathon
The open loop course for this marathon and relay begins on the Clearwater Causeway, heading south through five unique, beach communities to Indian Shores, before heading inland to Seminole and north along the Pinellas Trail, finishing downhill near Coachman Park on Clearwater's beautiful waterfront. Jan 24 Ruth Eckerd Hall: Vienna Mozart Orchestra
Step back to the end of the 18th century in Vienna as the Vienna Mozart Orchestra, clad in authentic costumes and wigs, performs symphonic chamber music of the Viennese Classical Period. The program provides maximum enjoyment by including single movements of symphonies alternating with operatic arias of duets, as was customary at "Musical Academies" concerts in the late 1700's. FEBRUARY
February 1 Walkathon - Mutt Strut.
Join hundreds of pets, their owners, and other animal lovers as they walk to raise money for homeless animals. Visitors may walk with or without their own pet OR they can walk a dog from the shelter. February 10 - 11 Romance with the Sea
Clearwater Marine Aquarium's annual event, Romance with the Sea, features animal encounters, local arts and craft, environmental boat tours and Sea Life Safari excursions, raffle prizes, food and much more. March 1 -31 Major League Spring Training...St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Dunedin
Pinellas County has an 85-year history of spring training and is the only place where a Major League teams trains in its own regular-season city.
