Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex
This multimillion-dollar complex on the Disney property lets spectators and athletes experience more than 30 types of sporting activities and is also the training site for Major League Baseballs' Atlanta Braves team.

Wide World of Sports at Disney includes a baseball stadium, basketball, wrestling and volleyball field house, track-and-field complex, tennis courts and additional fields for football, soccer or just about any other sport. There's an interactive NFL playground to test your football ability and knowledge. Whether you go for a premium sporting event or just to play the games, this complex is considered the "grand slam" of parks for sports fans.

While there, visit the All-Star Café where you can see everything via televisions and a deejay for play-by-play information. Stock Car Racing, Disney Style
The Richard Petty Driving Experience at the Walt Disney World Speedway, located near the Magic Kingdom guest parking lot, is a virtual training ground for all those who have dreamed of getting behind the wheel of a racecar for real.

The RPDE offers guest two levels of actual driving experience: Rookie and Lifetime. Guest whiz around the track at blazing speeds as a passenger in the Rookie experience with eight high-speed laps around an oval track. The more adventurous can have the "Experience of a Lifetime" in the 30-lap program completed over three driving sessions. Reservations are a must for both levels. Also keep in mind the RPDE is not for the thrifty. The Rookie experience starts about $400, while the Experience of lifetime can cost you at least $1,100. Water Parks
To cool off in the Florida sun, Walt Disney World visitors can enjoy any of three water adventure parks: Blizzard Beach (the latest), Typhoon Lagoon and River Country. Yes, here the world of water rules with slides, waterfalls and waves galore. These parks are full of refreshing water rides that tumble and toss the daring through a variety of thrills. Of course, don't forget the "cool" fun at Fort Wilderness, where you can participate in boating, fishing, hayrides, the petting farm, tennis, horseback riding and more.

Nighttime Fun
Besides the parks, there is Downtown Disney. Nights are bopping at Pleasure Island, which features seven nightclubs plus shops and restaurants. The fun starts at 7 p.m. and ends with a nightly New Year's Eve celebration that includes delirious confetti-throwing. Pleasure Island's West End Stage features such varied artists as Garth Brooks and Hootie and the Blowfish for your entertainment.
